TAKE A CLOSER LOOK

Build a suite around one beautiful detail

A cream invitation, sage reply card and matching envelope share the same gold botanical detail. Repeating that detail connects the set without putting the same layout on every piece. Keep names, dates and reply instructions easy to find.

What to notice

  • A consistent botanical motif connects the suite.
  • Cream and sage papers create a coordinated palette.
  • Selective metallic details frame the message.

Your project checklist
0 of 4 planning steps ready

Use this guide to plan your idea. We’ll check the paper, artwork and finishing details before confirming the job.

Should the invitation quantity equal the guest count?

Usually the mailing list is organised by households rather than individual guests. Build your address list first and decide how many spare suites you need.

How do I choose between foil, gloss and paper relief?

Foil adds metallic reflection, clear gloss adds shine, and embossing or debossing changes the paper surface. Choose the effect that supports the design, then review papers and samples for the complete specification.

Choose your invitation style

Flat postcard-style invitations

Keep the wording on one card, with a simple printed design or a finishing detail we’ve checked for your paper.

Pocket invitation suites

A pocket format can organise the invitation and inserts. Plan insert sizes, stock, assembly and envelopes together.

Custom shapes and travel themes

Explore an approved die-cut shape, boarding-pass style or passport-style invitation. Send us the idea so we can check the shape and artwork.

Foil wedding invitations

Gold foil wedding invitations can highlight your names, a monogram or a bold border. Silver and other foil finishes offer different looks. Compare traditional foil stamping with raised digital foil, then choose the finish that suits your stock, artwork and budget.

Raised gloss wedding invitations

For a non-metallic detail, use raised gloss on a bold monogram or decorative motif. Clear shine can create contrast against an approved matte or soft touch surface. Keep dates, location, RSVP instructions and delicate text in readable printed ink.

Explore raised gloss and 3D spot UV.

Embossing, debossing and letterpress invitations

Embossing raises the paper; debossing makes a recessed impression. Letterpress uses a relief printing surface and can create an inked impression on a suitable stock. These effects differ from a raised clear or metallic layer. Bring a sample or reference so we can review the appropriate stock, impression and reverse-side layout.

Artwork dos and don’ts

  • Names or monograms in larger type are a good starting point for foil and raised finishes. Ask us to check fine scripts and intricate borders.
  • Keep raised treatments away from folds, scores and handwriting areas.
  • Provide a separate finish mask aligned to the print file, plus a visual reference.
  • Proof names, dates, addresses, spelling and RSVP details carefully before approval.
  • Order a suitable sample when texture, metallic colour or a folded structure is important.

Paper, envelopes and quantity

Choose paper and envelopes as a suite. NEPS lists custom invitations from 50 pieces and standard blank white mailing envelopes with invitations. Coloured, textured or shimmer envelopes are available by request. Confirm the selected envelope, inserts, assembly and all inclusions in your current quote.

Printing, special finishing, design and shipping have separate scheduling needs. Tell us when you plan to mail your invitations so we can work back from that date. We confirm timing for your approved design rather than promising one turnaround for every style.

Questions before you order

Can I supply my own wedding invitation design?

Yes. Supply print-ready artwork and any aligned finish masks, or ask the NEPS design team to create a custom layout. We review the stock and finish compatibility before production.

Do you print gold foil wedding invitations?

Yes, NEPS offers foil invitation finishing. Ask about gold, silver and other available colours, and specify whether you want conventional foil or a raised digital effect.

What is the minimum quantity?

Custom invitations start at 50 pieces. We’ll confirm the quantity, paper and finishes in your quote.

Are envelopes included?

Standard blank white mailing envelopes are listed with invitations. Upgraded envelopes, extra inserts, assembly and postage should be confirmed in the quote.

How much do custom wedding invitations cost?

The price depends on the style, quantity, paper, design, inserts and finishing. Share the look you want and your budget so we can quote the full suite. A starting price for a simple invitation won’t cover every custom option.

Tell us about your invitations

Share a few references you like, the number of invitation suites you need and your planned mailing date. List any reply cards, detail cards or other stationery, along with the paper and finish you’re considering. We’ll help you work through the options and prepare a quote. You can discuss samples in Mississauga or arrange shipping across Canada; allow time for design, approval, production and delivery.
