Is Gloss Emboss the same as raised spot UV?
Gloss Emboss is our 20pt soft touch business card with a clear raised spot UV coating, also called raised gloss. Unlike flat spot UV, the coating creates a raised detail you can feel. It adds coating above the surface rather than shaping the paper with a traditional embossing die.
What are Gloss Emboss business cards?
Full colour cards with soft touch lamination and a raised gloss coating applied to selected parts of your design. The finished card is 20pt.
Which details work best with raised gloss?
Logos, bold lettering, icons and patterns are good places to start. Our team can review your artwork and recommend which details to highlight.
How do they compare with your 17pt Raised UV cards?
Gloss Emboss uses 20pt soft touch stock. Our 17pt Raised UV cards use scuff resistant matte lamination. Both add raised gloss to selected areas.
Can I use my own artwork?
Yes. Upload a print ready PDF on the order page. Vector PDF or SVG files are recommended for logos. We can help prepare the separate artwork for the raised gloss.
What if I do not have a design?
